262333 2004-08-16 21:19:00 BBC website (news.bbc.co.uk) has info from Microsoft, saying that quite a few software don't work with the SP2 update. caffy (2665)
262334 2004-08-17 00:46:00 There has been a bit of talk about the clashes and incompatibility issues with SP2.

Lots of people know about this, but I want a list! Which software? Which versions?

Does anyone know where an "OFFICIAL" list is? Microsoft should be releasing this as it was their fault, so where is it?

262336 2004-08-17 01:09:00 IBM won't install it on their company computers until they have produced their own pack. They want to stay in business. ;-) Graham L (2)

Some programs seem to stop working after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2 (support.microsoft.com)

Programs that may behave differently in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (support.microsoft.com).

262339 2004-08-17 01:21:00 Installshield is a biggy, amongst others. No mention of P2P or firewire that I could see, only skimmed the lists though.

262341 2004-08-17 01:37:00 Well,i for one won't be using sp2 untill the new zone alarm is released, which will completely disable the inbuilt windows firewall. metla (154)
262342 2004-08-17 02:14:00 Now I know why I am happy with 98SE.

(Not to mention the exorbitant price of XP!)
