As far as Trademe is concerned, I had a look, and there certainly are some bargains to be had. The issue I think (and I'm being selfish now), is that I don't want to be encumbered with an ongoing support problem if I can avoid it, and there has to be a danger of that in buying a second-hand printer that you can't try first from an unknown source. At least if it is new there is a warranty and the Consumer Guarantees Act. If I was buying for me I might consider it, but I think I will only suggest this route to my friend as a last resort. |
