262926 2004-08-18 08:19:00 Hey there, look at what my printer is doing

sal.neoburn.net

this was just a whole lot of akdjskljfjalkj on a whole page..All ink tanks are full..

Its a win98se, with a Cannon BJC3000 on lpt. I used both OpenOffice, and Microsoft Publisher

262927 2004-08-18 09:08:00 looks like a driver issue. robsonde (120)
262928 2004-08-18 09:15:00 Have you taken covers off airholes on the tanks? zqwerty (97)
262929 2004-08-18 09:24:00 That doesn't really look like drivers, it looks more like a blocked/contaminated print head. Are the ink tanks OEM, clones or refills?

BTW, you can test without using so much ink of you make a 1-2 cm crosshatch pattern in Publisher or any graphics prgram. That will pick up vertical and horizontal streaking.

Try the Canon test page and see what it shows for head performance.

Cheers

262930 2004-08-18 09:49:00 It's only on Black, cos i cant print a whole document in another colour thats not black, darkish red (although still black being used) it still works.

It did both head cleaning, and deep heading clean, head alignment and colour test worked fine.
