2004-08-17 23:32:00 | Im editing my news letter I have divided the newsletter into two equal columuns like this Heading |sub headings | | texts |texts | | | What i want to do is to alter the vertical line down the middle of the page. At the moment the heading is like this Net Safe Newsletter| | | | | |sub headings As you can see here the vertical line is cutting through the heading. I want it so the vertical line stops at where it says *sub headings* so that i can type the main heading of the document right across the page CAn anybody please help me?

2004-08-18 00:49:00 | Hi there. If you are using Word, simply click on Format/Columns and make your choice. If you already hve the heading set, click on the button for Appl from this point forward. | Scouse (83) | |

2004-08-19 00:39:00 | Hi there. Not to sure of what you're after with "break". If you place a heading, then format the rest of the page in to columns as prev stated, a natural break ocurs. If that is not what you want, Word's help is quite good with "break. | Scouse (83) | |
2004-08-19 01:03:00 | I tried going to microsoft help but they didn't really give me the answer.I have manage to stop the vertical line just below the heading. However When i type the heading in it appears that the letters don't go right across the page.It goes half way across the page then starts a new paragraph. Its treating the heading as two columns and i want to dividing of two columns end at just below the heading | yingxuan (3330) | |
2004-08-19 04:19:00 | Hi Y. If I read you right, you have made the double column heading and want to revert back to single column? Click on Format/Columns and select the single icon..... bearing in mind that you must also select... from this point forward etc. | Scouse (83) | |
2004-08-20 10:38:00 | Hi Try 'Insert' > 'Break' > 'Section Break' or 'Column Break'. I think this should help you. P.
