my uncle has posted a DVD to us that he filmed while he is in holiday.. and we require to re-edit the content of the DVD...

however, the problem that we arose is, when orginal DVD file content are transfer into the computer, the sound from the content of the DVD is missing.

if we using the Digital Video camera and transfer the content into the computer, the sound is at there....

so what i should in order to get the sounds from the DVD to the computer

thanks

262627 2004-08-17 13:28:00 ok well as far as i know the video and the audio are both stored in the same VOB files, it may be a codec issue......

i assume that you are talking about video on a DVD as in it can be played on the tv, not as in video files that have been backuped on a DVD??

what was the DVD made with?

thanks

as far as i know, the video was made from a Digital video camera, then using Philips DVD recorder (DVDR77) from the TV, then it is stored onto a DVD+R disc . . . . .

my dad say it might be different communication between the way DVD recorder store its file and the computer . . .

as far as i know, the DVD disc has sounds and can be hear anywhere it got a DVD player

thanks
