262836 2004-08-18 05:55:00 Hi have an old DIGITAL 3000 PC which i have been rebuilding, I have installed windows 95 onto it and it works fine in general. However, it has not detected the ISA modem and PCI Nic I have installed, or seemingly the PCI bus at all.

A bit of background system info:
In this system the pci & ISA slots are on a verticle riser which plugs into and powers the motherboard. The IDE and FDD is also on the same board. It is running a PII 300mhz cpu and 64mb ram, the video has its own ram but is integrated into the motherboard. It is running 2 hard disks of 4 and 8 G. It has a Phoenix BIOS

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this up?
thanks for any help

262837 2004-08-18 06:37:00 Check the BIOS settings. Its P&P detection might be set the wrong way. Graham L (2)

Does anyone out there maybe know where to get Drivers for a DIGITAL pc 3000? as far as i know they pulled out of NZ a few years back.

262840 2004-08-18 08:45:00 Yeah, it is because the power is fed to the motherboard by the riser and both the IDE channels and the FDD run off the riser also, these are all working fine.
On most pc's if you look in system devices you see a 'PCI Bus' installed, on this pc this is not present. Maybe just some specialized drivers?

Yes H.P. Gobbled them all. Their is a Guy in west a.k. advertising heaps of them on "Scam Me" recently "Graeme 553" or some such.

If you can trace him he may have parts or inf.

I have one I used as a fax catcher, but it is socket seven, if you can sort them they are quite reliable.
