What does it mean ??
Why is it there ??
Is it some sort of easter egg ??

I was watching the movie 'The Net' a few days ago, you know the one with Sandra Bullock in it. It had a little Pi symbol and when they shift-clicked on it, it would give them backdoor access to the systems protected by the Gatekeeper security program. Etc. Etc. Good movie. ;)

Anyway if you do some fancy click on the icon or something will it give you backdoor access into IDG?? ]:) ]:)

It means the ads have been blocked, probably by Norton's Ad blocker.

> Why is it there ??

It's probably the end of the ad script (the ads are blocked by Norton or similar, but the end tags for some reason escape)

No.

Except that in your screenshot you've still got the ads there. If I turn off my Norton ad-blocker, the ads display and the ');//-- > disappears. If I turn it back on, it reappears and the ads disappear.

262732 2004-08-18 05:49:00 I know what you are talking about, I can see them as well!

I don't use Norton's, but when I have Kerio disabled, the ads show and the '); //-->> does too. Then I enable Kerio, and the ads disappear and the '); //-->> does as well.

Hmmm weird... buggy code in the ads perhaps?

That piece of code you see is only visible to new members and will disappear when you reach 20 posts.;)
