262651 2004-08-17 15:17:00 I am developing a website for a couple of people who rent out their apartments. They want an online calendar on their website that only they can access to see wether they have booked out the room or not. Creating the page will not be a problem.

Should I use a database/asp page for this?

Is there a cheep program that will sit on the server (I havent desided on a server yet) and do this for me?

Or can someone recomend a free website that has these features? (This would be my prefered option)

My clients are cheap arses’s and will not like to spend much.

Cheers Rob

262652 2004-08-17 17:13:00 How difficult is it to know whether you've rented out your apartment...??? LMAO

Try Whitcoulls and buy a diary!

When this calendar goes to wire, do web site visitors get to see if the rooms are full, like if you put in the date 25th December 2004, it would say "sorry no room at the Inn, we are booked out"

262654 2004-08-17 20:06:00 I use Yahoo (login.yahoo.com) Calendar for my appointments.
It can be viewable only by clients but bookings/changes only via username and password.
It can also sync with Palm pilot.

Its free as well.

262658 2004-08-18 01:24:00 It depends on the host...maybe you could look at a host which provides those calender facilities? theres one excellent web calender program available at one host, but i cant remeber the name - its something like wwn? and it has a "cpanel" feature and other great features too.

sorrry cant help better!
