263071 2004-08-18 22:38:00 Gidday All,

I have been doing a lot of jobs for friends lately where i have re-rolled their PC's back to stock standard [as time of purchase].

A lot of these have had to be done without the use of an Emergency Rollback CD.

What i would like to do now is create some type of Rollback CD, so as in future they can insert the CD restart and it takes them back as Emergency CD's do.

I understand that Symantec Ghost and Drive Image can do this.

Does anyone know of any FREE versions of this type of software.

Also can anyone provide me with a link to Step-by-step [User friendly] instructions on how to carry out these actions, using Ghost preferably??

Thanks in advance.
Darcy.

263072 2004-08-18 22:42:00 I have tried both, but have found another product to be even better.

Acronis True Image.

Absolutely fantastic and doesn't take too long either. Unfortunately, it isn't free.

Lo.

263074 2004-08-18 22:52:00 Hi Darcy
free sought of, depends on the pc file system there was a cover disk on one of the aussie pc mags a while back with drive image on it fully functional except it did not reconise NTFS file system as it an older version, as far as instructions on use the process is quite straight forward both the creation of an image file and restore of.
If you wish to contact me I think you still have my email address
