i am using Outlook 2003 and 1. it slows my computer down
and 2. i had many folders set up branched from the Inbox and some are gone how do i retreive these lost folders they contain emails etc i wanted to keep

How big is your data file? (Right click on "Personal Folders", click "Properties", and click on "Folder Size") The bigger the data file, the slower it'll be. Mine is currently around 60mb and runs quite well - I don't notice any performance issues when it is running compared to when it is not.

Do you know how they disappeared? Have you run autoarchive, or created a new data file or have you just installed it replacing something previously?

I checked the personals folder size it is 10943KB

also i saw in the settings aprt the folders i have lost how do i auto archive

263907 2004-08-21 07:17:00 hi i have found the lost folders they are in another personals folder in a different Inbox further down and suggestions on 1. how to get rid of all the extra personal and folders and extra inboxes 2. i am having trouble with the loom of outlook it is all over the place
