| 263536 | 2004-08-20 07:20:00 | I recently installed the above mentioned program on my computer and had just chosen the minimal install as i was low on harddrive space. After looking through the help files and playing about with the tutorials and such it asked me to insert a certian control thingy for some database or such. after looking in the components list I couldnt find it - of course. I thought it must be due to my minimal install that it wasnt included so i decided to add some other stuff to see if it would work. so i put the CD in and choose "modify installed components" or such and after clicking away it says "looking for installed components" and then freezes. so i quit it through task manager and it said "MS VS 6 setup has failed. please go to www.microsoft.com/msdn" for more Info. I went there and it told me to delete some registry keys, empty my Temp folder and delete the installed files. I tried this and the installer still stops at the same place. Anyone got any ideas? |
