| 263594 | 2004-08-21 06:49:00 | Having read all posts up until the time of this posts I will attempt to fix the problem. First as I understand it you use Win98 and have a Mustek 1200 UB scanner. I had no problem finding a driver for Win98 and that model scanner and that site not in German I might add. Your original post had this to say. "Ulead Photo Express 3.0 SE. I tried to start the scan, but I got this error message 'Error in getting the TWAIN data source, cheek if the device is properly connected to your computer, or reselect you device from the Select Data source drop down list.' First we need to work out if the proper twain drivers are installed and if Ulead is configured properly. Is Ulead Photo Express 3.0 SE actually installed on your computer? If so then rather than just opening the lid of the scanner and picking anything I suggest you open a photo editing program of your choice like PaintShopPro, Photoshop, Irfanview, Ulead or whatever before you open the scanner lid. Choose File, Import, Twain Source and see if the scanner is actually there. If it is then you can use File, Import, Acquire to actually scan the image. Please note that you may have more than one twain device installed like remnants of previous scanner installs and some digital cameras use twain drivers as well. Sorry for all the questions but I hope I am pointing you in the right direction. |
