264353 2004-08-22 22:19:00 Hey all, anyone using this videocard at all?

I'm using it at the mo, and am trying to connect it thru either the S-video out or the composite out to this TV. (The TV has video/audio left/right composite and S-video on the front of it).

BUT it doesnt want to work! I did have it going once upon a time. BUT not now. I read in some places, that an ealier version (I think it was 32.xx of the nvidia drivers) used to be better than the latest nvidia drivers. I tried an earlier version. It didn't work.

I have tried ticking my connected TV is not being detected under Troubleshooting thru the options, rebooted. Still nothing. I've tried Ultramon, which supposedly supports multidesktop but it doesnt work.

So, if anyone else uses this card, and it does work, could you give me info, on how you go it to work! Any info appreciated

Cheers

264354 2004-08-22 22:47:00 When all the output cable is plugged into the card do the twin screens show up under your video card properties? metla (154)
264355 2004-08-22 22:56:00 Under Properties/settings, yup it shows Viewsonic E70 on Nvidia Geforce FX5200, and default monitor on Nvidia Geforce FX5200.

BUT if I change the resolution of the TV/Default Monitor, it changes the normal E70 one instead!

No signal goes to the TV....

264361 2005-02-25 09:28:00 I'm using the card now with the nvidia drivers 67 . 66 beta from the site . Its going now . The TV out . Dunno how as the only thing I've selected under advanced/card name, is the full screen video, and changed full screen device to secondary device . And it works good as .

Got a spare RCA cable (well 2 extensions, cut them in half), and connected the video out (RCA plug) to a 29" sony trinitron . And plugged a stereo plug cable into line out on the soundcard, and plugged it in audio L/F . And its going too!

I think I figured it out that this card DOESN'T like it if u use svideo (from the video out on the videocard, and an RCA adpater for the TV end) .

It's either RCA from the videocard all the way to the video in to the TV .

(DON'T use an adpator for Svideo) . Or plug an svideo cable in and make sure the other end (if your TV supports it) also goes into svideo in on the TV .

I was Spacemannz previously, hence why I replied to your reply :)
