| 264251 | 2004-08-22 10:41:00 | XP Home P4 2.4 Processor 120Gig HD 512 MB Ram From a stable system to a slightly shaky one..help ! Recently I've experienced unusual behaviour on my pc: 1:Out of nowhere dial-up window appears 2:Internet Explorer pops up out of the blue 3:Programs wont open on first click 4:Fatal Error messages, program has to close 5:Cubase SX wont always open properly I have up to date anti virus etc, defragged, trojan scanned etc. Perhaps I have got carried away with my registry checker and given it permission to delete something I shouldnt have ? Considered system restore, but it appears restore points are only available for a month and this problem is a little older than that ! I do have a lot of software installed, but plenty of available on my partitioned drive. Whats next ? |
