| 264164 | 2004-08-22 04:42:00 | I picked up one of these quite expensive USB sound "cards" on Friday. It was very cheap because the digital mastervolume switch had disintegrated. (I've unsoldered the remains and the remote control works the volume. Next trick is to find a replacement switch :-() . It works OK standalone. (I have to fix the WinME on one of my laptops befoire I can really try it). Has anyone got one, with an opinion of it ? Google shows me some unhappy users from a year or two ago, but they were early days for it. There's a firmware upgrade which might fix some of the perceived faults. |

| 264165 | 2004-08-22 05:26:00 | I've heard (don't have one) that they're pretty good, but I think the audigy and audigy 2 seem to rate better (although I think they're both internal). I wouldn't complain if I got one cheap though :D Mike. |
