264554 2004-08-23 08:47:00 Out of pure curiosity could you tell me please, what is the correct way to remove unwanted programs, would it be best from Control Panel, (add remove progs) or from the programs own uninstal program?

DON'T delete the folder from with My Computer/Windows Explorer,
like some people do (Without using Add/remove, or the programs own uninstall feature.

This is a BIG no no. This can cause probs.

264558 2004-08-23 09:08:00 However, it is not unknown for the uninstall program to have an invalid link, or become corrupted for some reason.
Then you have to delete the program folder, and follow that up with a Registry cleanout of invalid entries. Also a clean out of orphaned .dlls may be required.

264559 2004-08-23 09:10:00 Thats true. The good thing with some programs with XP is if something is missing when u go to uninstall , it'll ask you if you want to remove the add/remove entry. Which is good Spacemannz (808)
