264637 2004-09-10 04:03:00 good point!
I asked for a quote for a basic box containing all the specs I do know about from the Warehouse i.e. 128MB graphics card, sound card, 80GB Hard drive, DVD+CDWR ,modem, etc.
It's just that I would like to see a complete list of specs for the 4600 that The Warehouse are selling.

264638 2004-09-10 04:05:00 Hi Rob99
The closest big place is Dunedin. I am going to try there.

264639 2004-09-10 04:09:00 Hopefully someone here can provide you with a couple of links to good local computer shops, or you could try the phonebook. Rob99 (151)
264640 2004-09-10 04:09:00 I just looked up the Dunedin sellers listed on Pricespy, thought i could point you at a good deal.

All i learned is that i should really put my prices up.

264641 2004-09-10 04:30:00 Hi melta
Are you saying there are no good deals in Dunedin?
Meg_h_nz (6065)
264642 2004-09-10 04:32:00 No not at all,Just that the sellers (2) that i looked at didn't have anything i could point you at and say "here's a good deal, and it will do exactly as you want" metla (154)
264643 2004-09-10 04:38:00 oh...ok

264644 2004-09-10 04:45:00 How does the Warehouse's $1299 Dell 4600 differ from the $1399 4600 config available at Dell's online store?

The specs on that are with the integrated graphics. They offer a 128MB GeForce FX5200 as a $170 upgrade to the base config. I'd really doutb the 4600 offered by the Warehouse comes with that 128MB card for $1299.

264645 2004-09-10 05:01:00 Hi Bruce
Vince bought one and he listed the graphics card as:NVIDEA GeForce FX 5200 (see post Vince , Sep 10, 2004, 4:06am)
I have since found out that this card has a 'laptop' chip (see post melta, Sep 10, 2004, 11:45am)

I have e-mailed Dell and The Warehouse....... I wait for a reply

Well dang. They have to be economising somewhere. I wouldn't have thought Dell's margins were big enough to have that much slack in them but who knows.
