| 264894 | 2004-08-24 05:18:00 | i currently hav a fone connection with adsl enable i paid the $99 connection only fee to telecom the filters aren't working out great and now i want to get the full intall with the wireing due to the fact that telecom's helpdesk isn't helpful today for some reason...i'll ask it here... to get the full install, do i still hav to pay the full price of $250~ or because it's already adsl enabled.. i can just pay $150~ because the $99 was paid already...?? |

| 264895 | 2004-08-24 05:33:00 | Use the yellow pages. Get hold of a telephone installer company, they will install the filter. Telecom do not need to be involved. They only subcontract the work out anyway. |

| 264899 | 2004-08-29 10:33:00 | There is no reason why the plain plug in filters shouldn't work. All devices other than your Router must go through a filter. The Router plugs straight into the phone line. You could have problems if you have a monitored burglar alarm. If it is 'hard wired' into the phone line you will need a technician to install a splitter. (Telecom would not appreciate you doing this yourself). |

This Thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) will give you a good idea of what is required. Perhaps you could explain what you mean by the filters not working out though, there might be a simple solution.
