Couldn't agree more with you regarding Ian Wishart. Love him or loathe him, he was a great Host :_|

265320 2004-08-26 03:41:00 National Radio. Cannot stand the idiotic loud adverts on commercial radio, but will skip around FM stations to find decent music - and to avoid the stupid adverts - when I am down in Wellington. Steve_L (763)
265321 2004-08-26 05:17:00 OK looks like I'm the odd one out.

Radio Rhema, especially Adventures in Odyssey at 6.30pm weekday when I am driving home.

265322 2004-08-26 05:22:00 the Rock 90.2FM, starting to get a bit lame during prime time e.g playing lots of crap modern stuff. Although ive found after about 9pm it gets really good.

Im forced to listen to bunty's big drive home on classic hits in the afternoons god dam he's annoying. Is it just me or is he the biggest retard on radio?

265326 2004-08-26 09:42:00 I listen to either The Edge, ZM, or play MP3s. One of those 3 has to have good music, even with my pitiful collection of about 220 songs, growing at a rate of about 3 a month.

Hip-hop is cool.

265327 2004-08-26 10:10:00 I got to dispute that Radio Rhema - I read up the history of it getting licenced to broadcast 365 days a year just this weekend, and was appalled at a few of the things they said.

Anyway, the stations I've listened to have varied (and still do): More FM, Channel Z, ZM, Classic Hits, George FM, UpFM, and Fleet FM.

While I do resent the level of commercialisation in stations such as those run by The Radio Network and [on a lesser level] CanWest, they are in the market to make money (although closing down Cool Blue was a stupid move, they could've got sponsorship for it easily). However, I tip my hat to Fleet FM, which is arguably the best station in Auckland full-stop. :p
