| 265281 | 2004-08-25 09:31:00 | I installed SP 2 yesterday and now my pc won't boot. I have put the repair disc in as instructed on screen and have now got to the C:/windows prompt.... how can i start windows from here. I did a system restore point prior to the install and will turn the clock back if only I can get into windows. Please help. |

| 265283 | 2004-08-25 21:39:00 | I did that and it continues to say that the biosinfo.inf file is corrupted or missing. Using the recovery disc that came with the computer I can get to a dos c:\windows prompt, but don't know how to start windows from there. Any advice would be very welcome. |

If so you can press F1 to get a list of commands to type that will carry out various actions like fixmbr, restore, repair , etc, be very carefull though. Have a look at the SP2 Troubleshooting (support.microsoft.com) Installation section first. Cheers Murray P |
