2013-08-03 07:17:00 | We have a Hills HSMT-200A Digital Terrestrial Receiver, with recording. I have no problem recording everything, with the exception of Channels 3 and 4, as I get Error code 2, try latter. Well I've been trying for about 2 months and still the same. I have rang Hills and they say they are aware and have no fix, as yet. Anyone have an info, on this problem? Thank you, Ian

2013-08-03 14:01:00 | Thanks for the replies, above. Yes I will be contacting Hills, on Monday and had thought about the C G A. I guess I'm also asking if others, have the same problem, with same machine, or others. The reason I ask is that Hills said the problem was TV 3 and 4 problem and if so, others brand would have this. The unit has already been replace, because of another problem. :badpc:: :thanks

2013-08-03 21:52:00 | Get another receiver like the dishTV ones. The DishTV receiver I use (The T1020) is fine, gets most channels (inc Sommetsports), except Parliament. I think it's the aerial/s on the roof that are stuffing things up somehow | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2013-08-03 22:54:00 | Hi ya Speedy and thanks for your input. Yes we get the "new" Sommetsports and I've watched it a few times. Saw some amazing surfing, a few days back. As much as I would have preferred Satellite, we were given UHF, with a new aerial. (Part of a government supported package, I'm afraid and I did ask for Satellite.) Part of the problem, I think, is that we are in a bit of a bland spot; in Papamoa and they have to pint the UHF to Te Aroha which is a long way away. I will be ring Hills, tomorrow and see what pressure I can put on them. I have the phone number, for the government supported package, so I guess if no joy from Hills I'll have to ring them. I also posted on TM and at least some one else has same problem, as us. Blessings, Ian.

2013-08-06 00:49:00 | Get another receiver like the dishTV ones. The DishTV receiver I use (The T1020) is fine, gets most channels (inc Sommetsports), except Parliament. I think it's the aerial/s on the roof that are stuffing things up somehow If you get one channel, you should get them all, they arrive in a single wide-spectrum digital block and you have to deselect the channels you don't want (the opposite to the old system of only getting the channels you select). In my experience, digital is way less critical in terms of signal quality though some multipath signals may cause grief. We couldn't get analog Prime on UHF, though most of the other channels were reasonable, but with the same VHH/UHF aerials and combiner, and with no changes to our 5 or 6 outlet distribution system other than backing down the amplifier to reduce the signal further, we get all UHF digital channels just fine. Mind you, in my opinion not getting Parliament is a blessing, if I was reduced to watching that I'd probably shoot myself. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2013-08-06 02:35:00 | Should / we did but not here in Taupo. Its probably the aerials or where we are. There's a dish in the roof, but its for Sky and it wont work with freeview (unless there's a freeview receiver that doesnt need or use the LNB's). Which is missing on this dish. I dont watch Parliament the flatmate does. It'd save her going online to watch it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2013-08-06 03:33:00 | Hi guys. Sorry, meant to report in yesterday. I had a phone call, from Hills support, yesterday morning. Said they had an agreement with Media Works and a Fix will be available soon. So we'll see what happens then. Thanks for the responses , Ian.

Thanks for your input and I agree with your comments on the Parliament channel. Watch a few minutes, last week sometime, and thought, "Hmm how can I block this"? Ian |
