1368392 2014-02-23 06:06:00 Did you reboot after then hold F8 down?? I think its meant to bring up a menu similar to Win7, with safe mode etc. Are you in NZ or somewhere else? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1368393 2014-02-24 00:41:00 It's coming up with Automatic repair couldn't repair your pc, press "advanced options" to try other options to repair your pc or "Shut down" to turn off your pc. Log file C:\Windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt

In advanced options it has continue - exit and continue using windows 8 which when selected just restarts into the same menu.
Also has, Use a device or Troubleshoot.

Trouble shoot has refresh, reset and recovery maintenance options also advanced.

I would do a complete Windows re installation but unfortunately don't have an external device big enough to rescue my saved files.

I used the command Speedy suggested and restarted the computer and tried holding down F8, nothing happened. When I tried F11 the option came up to run Windows 8 operating system or "Advanced options" which took me back to the same blue screen as when I boot the computer.

I'm having a look around for safe mode but unable to locate it, I'll keep looking.

and yes I'm from NZ

1368395 2014-02-24 01:15:00 Yeah, received the message advising it succeeded. When I booted it came up with the old school operating system selection. pressed F8 on Windows 8 operating system like it explained. System didn't boot into safe though, just restarted into the blue automatic repair menu again. Demendra (17232)
1368396 2014-02-24 01:22:00 1. Whats the brand/model of this laptop?

2. Does it have dual graphics??

3. Was Win8 on it originally?? Or did you upgrade from Win7, or upgrade from Win 8 to 8.1? Or is Win 8 still on it?

It looks like you can get a similar loop if you upgrade from 8 to 8.1...
