1350689 2013-08-07 04:01:00 We pollute as badly as most countries, we just produce less due to our population and the wind carries it away.

The wind?

You been to a river lately? It doesn't carry anything away except perhaps smells.

I have seen:
Dairy farms, the sludge is amazing, the smell before you get all the way down the drive is enough
Milking in progress (there are 2 filters, the first filters the "big chunks" and the 2nd the "smaller chunks" as Mr Helpful farmer explained to me. There sure was a lot of thick green goo everywhere, you know milkers wear these water proof overall things? Doesn't keep the hair clean though.......showers after milking not before...

Rivers and lakes near dairy farms

It's enough to put you off milk for life.

Horowhenua for instance, have a look at that lake....never mind the Waikato river. I could list heaps....check out your local beach report to, they have those listed, Piha, Murawai, Long Bay and so on.....eeewwww.
