I have two user accounts set up on the one machine (one for a home business and one for personal use). I want to keep the two sets of data distinctly separate, so can anybody help me by advising whether i'd be better off partitioning my HD (and entering the big unknown) or whether just using the "my documents" options for each user is sufficient ?

Cheers

265516 2004-08-26 11:12:00 I recommend keeping your data on a separate partition from your OS and apps. You can do what you like (reformat and install new OS, etc) without affecting the data.

With your situation, NTFS permissions will keep the 2 user's data secure from each other regardless of which partition the data is on.
