| 265366 | 2004-08-26 00:07:00 | I'm looking at 3.0 GHz CPU. Should I choose Northwood or Prescott? They are about the same price. Comments, please. Cheers |

| 265368 | 2004-08-26 00:39:00 | Is this for a new machine? This article sheds some light on the Prescott (reviews.zdnet.co.uk), you can ignore the AMD bit if you wish but if your looking for a chip around the 3.0GHz mark and you are not constrained by existing hardware then the AMD at 2.2 actual GHz may hit the mark depending on your usage. Mty main point is the wattage used and heat output of the Prescott vs anything else. Cheers Murray P |
