This is done by pressing a key (F10 for Compaqs) or key combination at startup, the key(s) differ between computer makes, you may even have to 'Press F1' ;-) See here (www.cyberwalker.net) Be careful making changes to the BIOS, it pays to write down any changes you make. Here (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) is a thread where someone was trying to create a boot password. HTH |
