| 265924 | 2004-08-27 06:44:00 | i can connect to the internet - have to icon showing on the task bar and there is clearly activity but i am unable to browse or connect to homepage pcworld. i recently removed searchbar, scanned system with nortons and spybot with little satisfaction......missing the internetivity ideas anyone |

| 265926 | 2004-08-27 08:13:00 | If Norton Internet Security is installed, Symantec Proxy Service, which is part of it, can go AWOL. You wont go anywhere, if this has stopped. Check Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services/Symantec Service. Under General make sure its on Automatic and under this started If Service Status is stopped. Restart. If it continues to stop go above then Recovery. Change the top 3 options to restart the service, then OK. |
