| 268399 | 2004-09-02 10:23:00 | Hi Kirrie. I've just put it on my machine. No real noticable differences so far except for the 'security center' that comes up and warns you about whether or not you have windows firewall turned on, antivirus software installed etc etc. I turned this straight off as it was annoying. Windows messenger is removed. That's both versions (the ones with the annoying popups and also the chat software). No big deal there - just saves me removing them myself. Outlook express blocks pictures until you click on a button. Just an extra security measure. Obviously if you use another client then you won't notice this. I suppose the changes are barely noticable on the surface. It's probably just the normal few bug fixes and security loopholes tightened. If you always turn windows firewall off (like I do) and use third party software, then you probably won't notice much. |
