| 268498 | 2004-09-02 22:46:00 | I often go into safe mode for Scandisc and Defrag PC maintenance, so set up the shortcut to Safe Mode as instructed in the July issue of PC World Windows Advisor only to find that my Win 98 SE AMD650 PC does not successfully restart windows using the shortcut. It will shut down ok, but then locks-up displaying only a blank black screen with a blinking cursor at the top LHS of the screen. This shortcut works fine on my older Win 98 SE P200 PC. Any ideas on how I get the shortcut working properly on my AMD650 PC? Cheers Clive |
