| 268607 | 2004-09-09 22:29:00 | My PC had been playing up, was full of left over bits and pieces of programs, and was taking forever to load. I re-formatted my PC and then installed SP2. Verdict: No issues whatsoever. Boots up very quickly. Runs fast. Didn't get the blaster or any other nasty as soon as I connected to the net. |

| 268608 | 2004-09-09 22:32:00 | I have installed SP2 twice now on this machine. First time was a standard SP2 install on an active OS, which worked fine, running for a number of weeks. Second time was a slipstream install after a reformat several days ago. Works fine, no issues. One thing I did notice though, and I saw a couple of references to it in this thread, after the first install of it (and I didn't really realise it until I read this thread) the autostart of some CDs did not work after applying the service pack. It didn't seem to affect all CDs however. But after the slipstream install all CDs are autostarting as they should. I wonder how many others have lost their autostart feature? Mike. |
