268900	2004-09-03 07:32:00	I wanna make a website sometime soon, and I have 3 cds with ringtones, games and wallpapers for a variety of phones. It was aquired by me and a few friends thru either purchasing or swapping with others, and using a computer to compile the cds. and I've decided to follow the cellphone craze and set up a website with the contents, as I know there are already some websites overseas...BUT, as we know..overseas isnt new zealand... Chances are bugger all people will be able to get them anyway as most people don't have the exorbitantly priced data cables required and can only receive them via SMS which I don't imagine is a service you will be offering.	whiskeytangofoxtrot (438)
268902	2004-09-03 08:57:00	Chances are high that anything that you have "purchased" will be copyright . You have "purchased" the right to use 1 copy yourself . Making them available for others (even if free) is a breach of the copyright in such cases . Anything you can get proof of being free to distribute (no copyright) is fine . Just because it says nothing would indicate that it will be copyright, you need to find the statement that the images/ringtones are indeed public domain/free to distribute . Just because you can take a copy free does not always imply that you can give copies away . A common statement on such sites is: Everything you see and hear on our site is copyright material belonging to us . We do not charge for any of the material on this site . No part of this site may be replicated, reproduced, copied, sold, or manipulated without our express written permission . But you can visit the sites and read for yourself, you need to do so .	godfather (25)
