| 269288 | 2004-09-04 16:14:00 | Just been doing some late-night browsing and came across: bcheck.scanit.be browsercheck.qualys.com Ive also been doing some searching and found some interesting Firewall test results (did it yesterday) and found out that only a "dated" version of Zone-Alarm, and one other little firewall Id never heard of truly blocked everything. I did the browsing from a CyberCafe yesterday and so I'll try and find the tests for the Firewalls, but has anybody else given much thought to their software firewalls (For windows-based users here... I trust iptables ;-)). Anyways, What'd you all score for the browser tests?! Chill. |

| 269291 | 2004-09-04 17:37:00 | I spent some time on the checks before discovering they were only for Internet Explorer. As I'm on Firefox, they weren't relevant. I had to go a long way into the processes to find that out. Rather a waste of time, sadly.. |

The browsercheck.qualys.com quite clearly says on the front page "This application supports only Microsoft Internet Explorer on the Windows operating system." So needless to say I didn't try out that security test. For the bcheck.scanit.be site, my Mozilla Firefox 0.9.3 on a Linux Platform passed with flying colours :D That site has some interesting statistics (bcheck.scanit.be). Over half of the participants had med-high risks still. |
