| 270360 | 2004-09-08 08:11:00 | I have this message pops up in a grey box telling me my machine is infecte with software. It then exorts me to go to xpvirusclean.com. at this site there is an advertisement for Pal spyware remover. In looking at the firewall log it appears that someone on this site (xpvirusclean) is scanning and detecting which ports I have open. I can sometimes get as many as 2 or three a minute. Is there anything I can do to stop this annoying intruder? thanks Ojos |

| 270361 | 2004-09-08 08:20:00 | ojos, It's malicious advertising, they try to message you through many ways that your machine can handle, even through MSN, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, and exploits in web browsers. The only way to protect yourself, would make sure your system is up2date, run S&D (search and destroy) Spybot and have antivirus and firewall protection, AVG and Kerio's Personal Firewall are good.
