| 270327 | 2004-09-08 07:20:00 | I see you suggest no advertising or similar, which is fine, but why is it only directed at me. I've notice a lot of people advertising their own sites on here and I had no complaint with that, they own or even create/look after those sites. My situation, I discovered a free-hosting site, I contributed to it and was appointed moderator, so if you're saying that if I wasn't a moderator on that board it would be OK to post? I asked to be a moderator, as I thought it was a good place for me to express my computer knowledge. Again my after post was not even directly, so maybe it's indirect advertising considered to you. As for the domain I was suggesting, that has nothing to do with me other than I got myself a FREE domain from them, so are you suggesting that's not allowed too? I also have a no-ip.com address, a www.tk domain redirector, but they still seem to be allowed to be posted. So since this is unfair, I want all my posts, removed, even my alternative names and you can have your PC World CD Wallet back if you want, I don't use it anyway. So all my alias names: Chameleon_Coder Noel Nosivad Kame Krazee Kame ~qwerty and there's a few guest accounts, since I was here before the upgrade but I'm not bothered by that, at least it can't be considered my work. It would probably be nice if you could have removed some of my work that went into the NetGuide magazine and other magazines, but I don't see that would work. Thanks for letting me express my computer knowledge though, it was what I wanted people to see, but I have little respect when treated unfairly. Chameleon_coder, KK, Noel Nosivad, ~qwerty. |

If you yourself knew that your posts could be 'on the line' why get so upset when Bruce politely tells you that you are correct? Any topic that reads like a spam email has gotta be suss. |

| 270329 | 2004-09-08 07:33:00 | the problem with your first post was that it looked like advertising, it sounded like advertising, it was advertising. the problem with the second post was that you had been told that advertising was not wanted. I have a few threads that point people at my website, this was mostly done for testing. if bruce had told me off then i would not have done it again. there is a big diffrence between "what do you think of this site....." and a "come and use this service...." |

| 270330 | 2004-09-08 07:39:00 | 8) No commercial posting, spamming, or otherwise using the forum to promote products and services purely for your own gain. This doesn't stop you recommending products and services to other users, nor does it stop a vendor discussing their products in relation to a post. But users who post purely to promote their business/website may find their threads deleted along with their user ID. Well how I read the rules, it was number 8 that may have concerned me, but it's not for my own gain, in fact I don't gain anything from being a moderator for a forum I have no idea where it's situated, other than making sure posts are within the rules, just like how he has considered my posts here are not. Maybe all suggestions of JetStream Realm should be stopped too as I moderate there, My after post was just being a link to a database directory of people who have most free-hosting sites that you could search for. It might not even be a good idea to suggest netguide for people looking for ISPs, Web Hosting, etc. If this was the case, or the fact of google. Either way, I feel treated unfairly and just want all my posts removed. Enough said, and no more to worry about. If it's promoting the website I contribute/moderate for, I didn't post it the second time and by no means had it crossed the line, I just wanted people to know the reason why it was locked, as there was no suggestion to it. |

| 270331 | 2004-09-08 07:41:00 | I always wondered where you had got to KK, how about dumping the rest of the tribe and sticking around as the really helpful guy who knew a heck of a lot about computing. Being bounced for stepping over the line when you knew it was there shouldn't stop you doing what you have always done here. Life is full of hits, not all of them fair, but that's no reason to give up doing what you have obviously enjoyed. How about reconsidering? Would a ceremonial burning of the CD wallet help.:D Cheers Billy 8-{) |

That's been answered - Your post looked like a bloody piece of Spam Mail dude..... Dont freak out and get all emotional "Im sorry bruce, forget I ever existed, and haha you cant get rid of my contributions to netguide". Guess what dude - He works for PCW.. I used to work for PCW... Its not a biggy that you contributed sorry. Congratulations on being featured in the mag, but yeah..... No offense but pull ya head in man! Chill. |

You let people publish your work without royalties, Your bad commercial decision. They played by the rules, you must play by them, If they institute a true doubble standard, like Trademe, or Telecom the you can scream, and then you should, very loudly. |

| 270334 | 2004-09-08 07:50:00 | Billy T, All I was doing was recommending a service, and was told it was SPAM, yet when people ask for FREE hosting, like that italian guy, that gave me the idea to actually tell people of things like the free-hosting directory and the domain names. I even suggested .tk domain redirectoring under Kame Krazee and was never treated this way. So I don't know why it started now. KK |

| 270336 | 2004-09-08 07:59:00 | To have it locked like that upset me, seriously it did . As I have never been stopped before for suggesting services . I even double checked the rules on this as it was posting a direct site to where I contribute to and now moderate only because I asked to be a moderator, but I apologised for that and suggested an alternative that would have helped some people out and tried to stress that I am not even part of this in anyway (indirectly related yes but I'm indirectly linked to many sites), yet I can't get that through . I was only posting helpful sites to some . Next time I'll watch what I say when suggesting sites then . |
