| 270249 | 2004-09-08 00:24:00 | Just replaced my Duron 1300 with an Athlon XP 2600+ and am having problems: i have two ram sticks here: 256MB DDR266 DSE brand 256MB DDR400 PMI brand When DSE one is in, computer will occasionally boot but not much (keyboard lights flash, fans turn on, CD drives power up but no beep or video) When PMI is in, computer starts most of the time but had problems this morning (has started about 10 times succesfully with that ram on the previous 3 days or so) help much appreciated. |

If you put two different RAM packs in together, you should be able to stop the booting completely. ;) I strongly suspect the upgrade path is not as simple as the one you have apparently undertaken, there are a few other things involved. *-BUMP-* R2 |
