| 270229 | 2004-09-07 22:06:00 | It depends on what version of word are you using and what the recipients have or don't have. MS in their wisdom changed the file format of word documents with new releases from time to time. If they have an earlier version of Word or Wordperfect, when you Save As use the drop down list at the bottom of the save dialogue box to save as a Word 6.0, Word Perfect or Rich Text (.rtf) document. That way they can edit it if that is required otherwise you can try the html format as suggested although some antivirus will view html/htm as a security risk. If you don't want them to alter the document at all, convert it to .pdf if you have than facility (CutePDF is a free converter, google for it) Cheers Murray P |

| 270231 | 2004-09-07 22:10:00 | Forgot to mention, if you have some special formating not available to earlier versions of Word or Word Perfect, you've got a good chance that this will be lost when you Save As whereas, PDF will copy the layout and formating (almost) exactly but is un-editable at the other end.
