| 270254 | 2004-09-08 01:57:00 | I received a nice letter in the post today about renewing my domain name which will expire in 5 months (?). Anyway they would like me to switch over to them for the special price of $A48.00 ($US25). Thats very nice of them, I can get it for $US8.00, but they due have their overheads of course (like sending 500,000 letters!!) I like multi country aspect. The name of the company is Domain Registry of America, it is posted in the Phillipines and the return envelope is addressed to Melbourne, Australia. Actually the phone number appears to be American. I wonder how many they will get?? |

| 270255 | 2004-09-08 02:08:00 | They get heaps of people respond. I get those letters on a weekly basis (as I administer a significant number of domains). There was even an NZ company who started doing it for .nz domains, however they were quickly quashed, though not before a number of my customers had already coughed up their credit card details. |
