Same, I am also running a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with Win XP SP 2 RC 2 & I have had No problems at all. | 270124 | 2004-09-07 10:58:00 | Sorry . . maybe i was incorrect . . . i had read some of the other topics concerning SP2 experiences . I am running XP SP2 on a gigabyte motherboard with a barton 2500XP+ Athlon . . . 512meg Ram . initially and too a certain extent now, had experienced slowdowns . . . A lot of it was improved when i removed Norton and stopped using my native firewall . However . . . I still get bogged down I know that XP Sp2 is experiencing major difficulties with the high end AMD chips and i know of one other whose AMD powered machine is also suffering from hicups . I am wondering whether SP2 is quite abit more resource hungry than Xp Sp1? |
