1370256 2014-03-15 19:01:00 Hi.

For some reason I'm no longer able to split screen in Win 8.1. As previously I move the mouse pointer to the upper screen border and try to drag open window either to the right or left side. The mouse pointer doesn't even change appearance when at the upper screen border.

Could somebody please help me to fix this. Many thanks.

PS: Just found a solution. Dragging is still not possible but shortcut Window key + left or right key works.

1370258 2014-03-15 19:48:00 Thanks for answer. Unfortunately it's not quite what I'm looking for. As stated in my previous post, dragging windows into place doesn't work, shortcut Win key + left or right key works, but when I change the size of one window by dragging, they don't change proportionally but one overlaps the other. 1370259 2014-03-15 21:56:00 Dont know if this will work, but check its not turned off. Go to the start screen type in" Change how your mouse" without the quotes - select it from the results, look at the mouse options, make sure the two options relating to the mouse are not ticked "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.":2cents: wainuitech (129)

1370261 2014-03-16 01:05:00 Are we talking about full screen metro apps or normal desktop ones?
On my win 8.1 on metro apps you still get the hand and can drag left or right. On the destop apps you can do basically the same thing but you get no hand and just have to drag the top title bar.
If it's a recent thing have you installed anything lately and have you tried system restore to fix it?
