1351003 2013-08-08 21:52:00 Just a bit of feedback which may be picked up by the search engines:

After an hour, literally, I managed to connect the base to the TV... man oh man it was a mission - the girly instructions weren't quite clear, especially given that they can't differentiate between rubber and plastic. Add to the confusion they included two plastic/rubber washers, plus a metal washer, then I'm stuffed.

But... this Veon 37" is good... so far. Mostly. The picture is soooo good. Unlike, I s'pose, most readers here, I've never owned a digi TV. We've probably all seen the clarity examples in stores; me too. But actually having it in my new living room is a breath of fresh air. The clarity! I feel like I've been deprived of clear TV for so long!

My complaints... The changing of channels takes about 5 seconds... jeez I'm gonna be OLDER before I finish channel surfing!

Sound... perfectly acceptable for a TV... I ain't gonna be playing my Pink Floyd Pulse via this thing unless I hook it to a decent sound system, but its absolutely adequate so far.

Visually - heck I never knew that TV could look so crisp from a crappy aerial.

Overall... considering I got it for 4 hundred bucks vs the usual price of 800, how can I complain.

9/10

1351004 2013-08-08 22:53:00 $400 doesnt sound so bad, though the channel change delay sounds naf....good job you didnt pay full $800 for it as thats what I paid for my Full HD 50" Panny Plasma.... SolMiester (139)
1351005 2013-08-08 23:21:00 With my Konka TV and Dish TV top box I find that if I key in the channel number it does take about five seconds for the channel to change. If I use the channel + or - button on the remote the channel change is much faster. This is ideal for channel surfing when you want to find out what is on all the channels. Bobh (5192)
1351006 2013-08-08 23:21:00 And I paid $1600 for a 60" samsung :) - price goes up fast with size.

The channel thing sounds like my experience with a cheap set-top box when I first got freeview shortly after it launched. The PC tuner has that issue also.
Sounds like they are using cheap old hardware which is to be expected at the price. It's not quite instant on my TV now but it's quick enough that it doesn't annoy.

1351007 2013-08-09 07:19:00 Pretty much as we have found with the 39 inch Veon we have. I have it plugged into my stereo amp for great sound, I often plug my netbook in and watch tv on demand as well. gary67 (56)
