1352132 2013-08-27 07:10:00 I have a suggestion

Is it possible to ask the Auckland City Council to come and trim the tree because your opposite neighbor is swearing at you for parking outside her house and the fact that bird cr** keeps falling down onto the road from those two trees?
If they can trim it so the branches and leaves arent directly over the road then it wouldn't be a problem.

Is it the Auckland council that you ask to do these sorta stuff since the tree is on the foothpath?

Thanks

1352133 2013-08-27 08:44:00 And what would happen if all your neighbours did the same thing? :(

It would suit me just fine if the neighbors moved my cars around for me, Have to walk up a hill to get to the street.

Though considering there is 76 units in this complex, and there are 8 of these unit complexes in my street we may have to set up a schedule so everyone gets a turn.

Yes the trees are their responsibility and yes you can request that they are attended too.
Claim the bird-**** is damaging your paintwork.

If the main problem is birds crapping on your paintwork, then tie some cats to the branches of the tree to stop the birds roosting there in the first place.

Although of course, this solution may result in larger "droppings"...

1352139 2013-08-28 06:15:00 My daughter used to park her car on the other side of the road . The neighbours didn't like it and asked her not to but she just ignored them because the one and only time she had a party they complained about the noise which was far less than their neighbour directly next door made every weekend with no party .

Also annoying - those who have a garage but it's full of cartons for their home business so they leave their car in front of garage - half of it over the footpath (pedestrians watch out for the towbar on a dark night!) . If you comment they claim "it's my drive way" and expect you to walk out into the road to get around their car .

The same neighbours over the road did that for years and one or two other houses down our street have their cars hanging half over the footpath . And then other people don't both trimming their trees and shrubs so one has to walk on the grass or even the road to get around them . Darn annoying .

Pushing ahead in a queue is a big problem in Auckland and without exception its the communist chinese people that do it . Strange the Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Malayan and Singaporean Chinese are more polite .

Don't go to Italy then . You actually have to be quite forceful if you want to keep your place in a queue there .

Tell them you will send them the bill to clean the sticky muck off your car if they don't want to know .
