1351206 2013-08-15 10:26:00 Interesting results and some great information peoples.

Downloaded Iron and from a first glance it's identical to Chrome ... going to have a play around on it and see how it goes.

Thanks for the info WT

Cant take any credit for that :)

Someone else mentioned Iron several months ago in another post ( cant remember who it was) -- I had used chrome off and on over the years, and was not overly impressed. On this PC (W8) I did have chrome but it never ran smooth even after trying to fix it many times , uninstalled Chrome and put Iron in, its run smooth ever since, SWMBO has it on her PC as well as on the office PC's.

1351209 2013-08-15 11:16:00 Just downloaded and installed Iron and what's the very first thing I see the first time I run it?
"You have one prize unclaimed!"

Yea right! No thanks, I won't be telling anyone to install it if that's the type of thing they'll first see.

1351211 2013-08-15 23:36:00 Iron and Comodo dragon are similar to Chrome, except for the crap Chrome installs. Cyberfox,Palemoon, Waterfox are 64 bit variants of FF. Speedy Gonzales (78)

The devotees appear to have left. :horrified

Never!

Well not yet anyway. They've released a Webkit version for Windows but not for Linux, when the Webkit version for Linux arrives, I'll ditch it.

From pioneers to dipshits, I hope Presto is forked and released under an open source license.

Its no different to installing FF and being bugged all the time to install chrome if a person has Google as the home page. MANY web sites have ads like that.

Yea but not a good look when it's the very first thing that comes up.
It was just the default Iron Home page that came up and that "add" was right in the middle of the screen.
