1369265 2014-03-03 23:59:00 just make sure you have a good backup strategy as well

Already in place - backing up everything important to the NAS. (Too large for online backups)

1369266 2014-03-04 01:18:00 When I moved to Windows 8 I went to an SSD (Samsung 840 Series). Boot times are phenomenal and the overall performance of the system is great. I use a second 2.5' disk for user profiles, games and the like and I backup my other disks (media/music etc) to my NAS.

I would certainly recommend it, 250GB is a good starting point, I'm currently only using 70GB of mine.

Cheers,

HMMM, good catch Scratch Kingston off the list for now. Sandisk are probably fine.

With Toshiba buying OCZ and being a major supplier of the flash memory that OCZ was struggling to get it should be a brand to watch. I'm not sure I'd reccomend them at the moment though. I have a samsung 830, been great.
