1351778 2013-08-22 09:55:00 Nobody was fit to support him, so there's likewise nobody fit to replace him. Might as well be a party of garden gnomes at present. Paul.Cov (425)
1351779 2013-08-22 19:37:00 Their problem is they need a charismatic leader. Like him or not, most of NZ like John Key because he had the appeal...Imagine Bill English for instance as PM.

Replacing Shearer with Cunliffe won't help, wouldn't surprise me if they did though....they just don't get it.

The sheeple don't listen a lot to the policies, they go by the image......and then the policies.....
They went through this already....and didn't get it last time, can't see anything changing.

I'm not keen on either...in fact I have no idea who has any good ideas this time....the Greens might crank up the 100% Pure thing - which I think needs to be sorted, ignoring NZs pollution is bad I think - but then they have too many other nutter policies too...

Sigh.....

1351780 2013-08-22 20:08:00 If they elect a "Pinko" like Robertson, National will be guaranteed another 20 years in Office :) :) Zippity (58)
1351781 2013-08-22 20:44:00 Whoever becomes the leader, makes no difference, they will still lose the coming election.

Still got to wait for the leader to be born.

JK and his followers are loughing, loughing loud, loughing very loud, indeed.

1351783 2013-08-23 00:19:00 2 problems
If there is no credible opposition, National can do whatever they want
If there is credible opposition, with real chance of winning: It then becomes a lolly scramble with bribes for the masses, sorry I mean election promises, that the country will never be able to afford to pay for. ie more Govt debt & more taxes

& yep , its not just Labour with the lolly scramble promises, National are just as guilty

Indeed, loughing in the slough of despond, where Shearer is now
