1369184 2014-03-03 05:46:00 Girlfriend is in a flat, currently doesn't have a phone connected. There is a physical line though. They don't want or need a phone, snap are pretty good with $70 a month for 50gb.any improvement on that? 30gb a month would probably do it. They aren't in a fiber or vdsl area unfortunately Thanks. wratterus (105)
1369185 2014-03-03 06:45:00 I should research this too... although I'm very happy with Flip's $55 per month deal... 10GB data, carried over each month for a year (currently have around 40 gigs data carried over despite using a ton of Utube and On Demand vids), decent connection speeds and landline included, I seriously don't need the home phone - my 2Degrees mobile plan has stacked up a huge 1320 available minutes in six months. 1369188 2014-03-04 01:18:00 It's discounted by $30 I believe if you have OnAccount phone with them. Chilling_Silence (9)
1369189 2014-03-04 19:32:00 It's discounted by $30 I believe if you have OnAccount phone with them. That's still a bit of a "have". Discounted by 30 bucks is still only the same as my Flip plan which includes the landline. Naked DSL seems, to me at least, a collaboration between all the telco providers and should be looked at by whatever monopolies commission exist here in NZ. Grr Greg (193)
1369190 2014-03-04 20:20:00 Sorta. At a raw cost price, for the DSL port, I believe it's ~$20 a month more vs a clothed line, but a clothed connection requires a $45 phone line (Cost price to Telco is different of course).

Most Naked connections have much higher data caps too. $55 will give you 10GB with Flip, or 80GB with Vodafone.

1369191 2014-03-04 20:56:00 I've been underwhelmed by Naked DSL offerings whenever I've looked into them. There usually seems to be someone offering a similar plan with included landline at very close to the same price or within $10-20. Hardly a compelling reason to ditch the landline which is occasionally useful. Might be worth considering as a new connection though I guess.

I've lost my discounted price on broadband as of Feb and have been looking at alternatives, I'm still locked into my current ISP though from taking up the "free" modem offer and again there aren't really many plans around that will save all that much. Some might give me more data cap but I am not having any problems with 150Gb
