1351185 2013-08-14 01:03:00 Hi peoples ...

just wondering whether I can get some feedback on what the most popular browser is at the moment and reasons why - e.g. security, ease of use, extensions available, etc.

TIA

1351186 2013-08-14 01:19:00 Firefox on desktop, IE on Metro (because it exists :p) pcuser42 (130)
1351187 2013-08-14 01:23:00 I'm still a firefox fan, mainly because of the customization but I just like all of it.

It's not ready on Android though - chrome is better there. Although it can run flash, which chrome can't, so that's useful too....

1351188 2013-08-14 01:57:00 At the mo I'm using Cyberfox a 64 bit variant of FF. Dont think one is better 5thyan the other, they've still got bugs whatever you use. I wouldnt use Chrome tho its too intrusive. It installs too much crap Speedy Gonzales (78)
1351189 2013-08-14 02:27:00 I'd stick with explorer except there's a couple of Firefox add ons I rather like. dugimodo (138)
1351190 2013-08-14 02:35:00 Use both IE and Iron (a variant of chrome) but without all the crap that chrome has - also they claim it doesn't install and track you like chrome does - so far from using it for a month or so now its stable and does what it claims. chrome_vs_iron (www.srware.net) wainuitech (129)
1351191 2013-08-14 02:37:00 Chrome. It flies on Xubuntu. Nick G (16709)
1351192 2013-08-14 03:41:00 Firefox, but Iron sounds interesting so will give it a go. Pato (2463)
1351193 2013-08-14 07:05:00 FF all the way here gary67 (56)
1351194 2013-08-14 07:35:00 FF more by default. I dislike IE because it seems too cumbersome, Chrome I just do not trust. I've never heard of Iron; I may try that. WalOne (4202)
