After reformatting (win98 SE) my HDD and setting up modem etc, whenever I dial up it takes longer to actually connect to my ISP. Also while connecting to ISP the "checking settings and password" is shown twice. What settings need to be changed to fix this problem? |

Are you using the same version of MS Dialup Networking? There was an update to 1.4 that may have been on the previous install. Not sure if relevant may be ISP related. |

untick "log on to network" (under server types).
i hope you also rembered to install motherboard drivers, modem drivers etc. |
