270648 2004-09-09 07:31:00 Anyone know if the ISP's that offer the Wired Country service, practice port shaping (i.e Iconz, easysurf, ihug) , if so who, and if not, which is the best one in terms of using p2p (although I have rarely d/l'ed more than 2g in one month. Ashley Matthews (550)
270649 2004-09-09 08:59:00 I saw a P2P app a while back that used port 80, and supported encryption.... Why not just use a non-standard port?

AFAIK - Ihug dont do Port-Shaping on any of their products

Should read: ...ISP that filters all content that.....

BTW - I read of an app a while back that supported Encryption, anonymous proxying, and then used the SSL port because it wasnt proxied by most places / transparent proxies ;-)
