Thats intersting, very nice site setup to .

I was more meaning the quality of instruction in the article, as apposed to the article itself, all though the subject was strong in a couple of threads here . Which was why I picked it as an example .

If you didnt know what was what, those threads were so much white noise .

I thought I would have a go at slipstreaming the PC World SP2 disc with my Win XP but have got a bit stuck since that article assumes you have downloaded the SP2 .

Where it says to type in the name of the service pack on Page 2, eg WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU, what do you type in for the PC World CD name?

270459 2004-09-10 07:01:00 That site mentions the downloaded version as well:

This "network installation" differs from the standard version in that it contains all files . The standard version, on the other hand, compares up front which files are already available and only loads the necessary files from the Net, considerably reducing Internet traffic . However, it is really not suited for slipstreaming, which is why the 270 MB network version needs to be loaded . The WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU . exe (English) file is saved in the newly created SP directory .

I would have thought the CD contained "all files" but how on earth can it be integrated with the Win XP original? Don't say I have to go and download SP2 after all . :-(

Have you solved this/your problem, the article was ment as an example of article quality, if some one can not help us/you with the file name change, some one must buy now have the file you need available.

Where are you located/city suburb?.
