| 271215 | 2004-09-11 06:00:00 | Hi all, My documents folder is huge and I want to transfer to my new 160 GB drive. Murray P wrote here before: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- What OS, what file system, eg: FAT32, NTFS, EXT3? You can change the folder that My Documents points to or the location of the folder itself but will need to know the above info. Cheers Murray P ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- My system is Windows XP Prof SP2, with NTFS. How can I do this guys? Want to keep that folder private, but on another drive. Cheers Johan |

| 271218 | 2004-09-11 08:43:00 | No worries - I tried to do this on XP and it gave me quite a few problems - especially with the user accounts (couldn't understand why, but it did). I basically put it back to where it used to be and only moved the big stuff (e.g. music, pics, movies, large files etc.) over to the 2nd hard drive. It then linked it via a shortcut to the relevant folder inside 'My Documents'. HTH, Andrew |
